Vote For Me!
A received a call today from the Southern California chapter of a certain professional organization that shall remain nameless, apparently desperate (I mean, they're calling people) for members to run for secretary and vice chair. So, having been bugged repeatedly to be more professionally "active," I agreed to run for secretary. The person on the phone sounded thrilled. I had been the only member, at that point, who had decided to run. Oh crap, that means I might really have to be secretary.
